There was an ice storm last night so it was a pain getting to work today. I am glad to have my car back though and especially thankful that the alternator was covered by warantee. Now my radio doesn’t work, I guess it has to be reset since they had the electrical system out. Too bad it doesn’t have a reset button or “ctrl-alt-delete” like a computer does. I was hellishly busy at work today but I am pleased to report that I got done what I had planned to finish. Tomorrow will be busy too and I also need to pay bills. I was looking at my eating record and see I have been getting slack with my diet: I need to fix that too before I get fat again !
Smitty emailed these pics showing recovery of the plane from the river….
I snatched some pics from Pig’s mySpace just now. Take a look, you know you want to…..
She says that giving money to Planned Parenthood will stimulate the economy ! I heard this on the radio driving home today and I looked it up just now. I hesitate to call her a fool because I don’t want to offend fools: what an immoral dumbass she is !

My mind sometimes meanders into some unusual places. Today for instance the idea of “basted buffalo balls” mysteriously manifested itself. I was thinking of something like ground chicken meatballs made with buffalo spices baked to perfection and doused with cool ranch dressing…. Continue reading
I took this picture on Monday Jan 19, 2009. He is getting very good at sitting up and I figure he will be crawling soon…. Continue reading
Piglette,Mike, and little Mike came down this weekend. Baby Mike is getting close to crawling I would say; he knows the moves but can’t get the traction yet. We all went on a shopping expedition yesterday and I am pleased to report that we didn’t spend a lot. Today my house is beset with some sort of virulent pestilence: Sweetous in bed all day, I have been feeling bad this afternoon, Mike is moping around too. I hope the baby doesn’t get sick.
Here are some good music videos on YouTube…
I got in to work late ’cause traffic just crawled, but it was an easy day anyway. No walk in the morning or lunchtime ’cause it was so cold. Sweetous did talk me into going for an hour walk this evening though. Yeah, it was cold !
This week, prosecutors in Greensburg, Pennsylvania charged six teens ranging in age from 14 to 17 with creating, distributing and possessing child pornography, after three girls were found to have taken photos of themselves in the nude or partially nude and e-mailed them to friends, including three boys who are among the defendants.
This is bizarre ! One would hope that our law enforcement and prosecutors would have better sense; not to mention the legislators who make these laws.
I don’t remember when their 50th was, but these are the pics from the powerpoint we had at their reception. These are from various times and places relevant to our family.

What you see below are not see-thru skirts. They are actually prints on the skirts to make it look as if the panties are visible they are the current rage in Japan. They’ll be the rage here in the USA soon. Continue reading

snopes.com: Roane County High School Prayer – this man is brilliant. I love it. The Principal led a Christian prayer following the letter of the law. This is brilliant act of civil disobedience; he defied and unjust ruling by obeying it to the letter.
WordPress Grid Focus Download – Derek Punsalan – 5ThirtyOne. – I love the general appearance of this theme but I’m having a time figuring out how the side bars work….
After a morning filled with vexation and consternation it is time for something cute and funny; courtesy of Smitty via email….
A Cat Named Lucky
If you thought this was going to be a heart wrenching story about a cat that got run over by a truck then had to walk 100 miles home after being bitten by a snake, you would be wrong…..
The idols of finance capital are starting to topple. As Christians, we are in a unique position to advocate the transition from a profit-centered system of worship to one centered on the primacy of human development. – read this article in National Catholic Reporter
Why is it that [The Beatitudes] are so revolutionary that they actually cause the world to be turned upside down – and that those who espouse them as principles for daily living… are made to suffer persecution for daring to suggest that they are true? – This is a site for Progressive Christianity which is good counter weight to some of the excesses of the Christian right. I generally agree with their ideas about economics but they tend to be “pro choice” and in favor of “gay marriage” both of which are wrong.
Interfaith voices is a weekly public radio show promoting religious harmony and interfaith understanding. The show is broadcast on over 40 radio stations in the US and Canada. For those who can’t hear the show on the radio, or who prefer the convenience of listening on their own schedule, we now offer a Podcast of our weekly broadcast. – I listen to this on NPR, now I can get podcasts on my computer too.
Thinkfree Boundless – this is cool ! I tried out Thinkfree a quite some time ago and I ran across it again today. I see they have improved it a lot ! If you need to or prefer to use web apps over desktop apps you should check this out. I am using Thinkfree to write this and post it….
