Distractions / Connections

Interesting articles I reads this morning…

Solitude is a lost art in these days of ultra-connectedness  and The more connected a person becomes on the Internet, the more distractions they face in their day.

Sort of a paradox for me because one of my favorite solitary activities is web surfing. The problem with surfing is it can degenerate into hours of random scanning of information which sometimes leaves me feeling discombobulated. Web surfing can help one learn but can also waste a lot of time…

One thing Leo suggests in the articles is walking. I can certainly endorse that; good for the head and the body. I should do more walking and less surfing….
