God and the Gay Christian

Image I decided to read this book to learn more about the Gays in the church issue. I had already changed my views from non-affirming to affirming based on my own thinking and reading personal stories of Gay Christians but I wanted to learn more about the subject.

This book is about a conservative Gay Christian and how he learned to accept himself as both Gay and Christian. Being a conservative Christian he offers detailed arguments from scripture to support his views that Gay marriage and Christian Faith are compatible.

I gave the book 3-stars because for me the detailed arguing from scripture sometimes grew tedious. But it was a useful exercise to show that the Bible is not always as “cut and dried” as some people think it is…
